<li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">NATURAL WAIST: Measure the total circumference with the measuring tape horizontally at the narrowest part of the waist.</li>

All measurements should be taken directly on the body. If your measurements suggest different sizes, go by your hip measurement. Is your size between two sizes? Then choose the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit.
